Warning !! most of the Kindle Unlimited library is second or third rate fiction !! I do use it, because I just cannot afford to buy books at the rate I read them. If you only read one or two books a month you are probably better off buying them.

Agreed. I have a good deal of books that I’ve purchased for my Kindle Paperwhite and I’ve read all except a couple, I think. I don’t have time to read books like I used to so buying the ebook outright would suit me best.

Has anybody else noticed that Kindle Editions seem to be undergoing a very considerable price hike at the moment ?
Also I would wish to add that Amazon is still at it’s old trick of offering books that are in the public domain( free) for silly prices.
