Maybe it’s me, but “ignoring niche customers” does not equate to destroying another passionate Apple community. No company, including Apple, can appease everyone. It is not uncommon for a company to create a product or service and then discontinue it because the number of sales/amount of use is too small and not worth the effort to continue creating.
