Keypad question

Just bought an i-phone today and the letters on the keypad when I'm sending a text or setting up a contact are all in different places than I'm used to. Is this normal for the i-phone and something I have to get used to?

When you send a text, it should be a normal keyboard. What layout do you see?

the keypad is set up like this:
A Z E R T Y U I O P
Q S D F G H J K L M
W X C V B N

That is really bizarre. It should be standard Qwerty. Unfortunately I cannot shed any light on why yours is not that way as I have never heard of your issue happening before to anyone.

That's really odd. Maybe check your settings to see if there is another region/language specified.

If that doesn't work, try a full restore and start from scratch.

this looks like the French keyboard. Change the keyboard setup in the settings of the iPhone.

That was going to be my guess, another language keyboard.
