Is there a way to disable the camera from the lock screen? I’ve got a password and fingerprint sensor to keep my son out of the phone itself, but the little hacker has figured out swiping brings the camera up.

He’s quite fond of the way the shutter sounds when he holds it down.

While it’s nice to have these precious memories, I’d like to thwart his artistic endeavors!

Thanks!

Unfortunately there’s no way to disable the swipe gesture to open the camera from the lock screen. Sorry!

That’s nuts. Well, better start stocking up on calendars for holiday presents! Thanks a ton for taking the time to respond, much appreciated!

An extreme option would be to disable the camera through the Restrictions settings. That would prevent this. You’d have to, of course, enable the camera each time you want to take a picture though.
