Just got back from appointment (pics)

Well first off I'm surprised at the size of the 42. I was expecting bigger but I'm def happy I didn't go with the 38.

Taptic feedback is nice and subtle, maybe too subtle compared to my pebble but I hear that can be adjusted

Sport band is plain and good for when you're active. I'll def take a look at some fancier bands like the milanese or leather band for a dressy occasion

Build quality is everything you would expect from Apple and now I can see why it costs a lot more than my pebble.

Apart of me wishes I went with the stainless steel version but overall I think I'll be satisfied with the sport.

Anyone else surprised that the 42 isn't as big as everyone is making it out to be?
Also who has changed their mind on which version they ordered after their appointment ?

No. I ordered the black sports band. I wanted to make sure I was really using it before getting one of the more expensive bands.

I wouldn't say really changed my mine, but I pre ordered the 38mm silver sport with the white band, & after seeing the space grey in person, I think I might like that one better. I was debating between the 2, but felt the silver would be easier to get.

I did order the black band, which is shipping in May, so I'm still happy with my choice, just thinking that space grey looks really nice.

Space grey is real nice and prolly the reason why it has been the most popular so far. Were you still satisfied with the 38? I have small wrist and found the 42 not big at all

I like the 38 mm. I have small wrist as well, but I like that the 38 didn't really look like a "smart watch". The 42 would've be fine for me, but I feel that the 38 is a better "fit" for me. It doesn't stand out on my wrist as much the 42 would.

Unfortunately, I originally placed my order at 3:03am est, for 2 sport watches and 2 additional bands, but after seeing the watches in person, I cancelled that order, and got 2 stainless steel watches and 2 additional bands. And now I have to wait until June. That really sucks, and it shows why Apple should have let us see a product so new and based on fashion/tastes in person first, before the pre-orders started.

I seriously doubt that those June orders will really happen in June. I'm thinking much sooner.

I don't blame you, when you hold the sport and aluminum side by side the sport doesn't look as appealing. I'm sure if they had the price tags hanging from them I wouldn't be as inclined to switch to the aluminum. I'll stick with the sport and consider aluminum for he second Apple watch.
