So, friend of mine is having a yard sale and has this computer she is donating to it. Turns out it's an old Apple eMac running OS 10.2
I've been wanting to play with an Apple computer for a while now, but it's not that great for web browsing. Almost nothing shows up correctly. The browsers I have are IE for Mac 5.2 and finally Safari 1.0 (Dunno why it will not upgrade past 1.0)
Are there seperate plugins that I am forgetting to download that may not be already installed on the machine? Should I try a different browser such as Firefox?
Poor thing has a nice hard drive - 60gb but the RAM sucks. Only like 400 MB. (which may be the issue) She didn't have the install disc so I can't restore it as a new machine...
It's not that great, but hopefully it will be something I can play with and hopefully begin to get comfortable enough to leave Windows.
