When I first got my iPhone SE (2020) I was pretty disappointed that you couldn’t press on the screen on the lock screen and get the text box to open up so that you could reply. Usually had to swipe left and then hit view.

It was for that reason that I jailbroke my phone just to have the ability to not have to do that.

Fast forward I’m now on iOS 14 and I just tried it on 14.0.1 and you can push on your text on the lock screen and it will expand it!

That may not seem much to you all but for me it is a super win on a great phone.

I think that option came back literally on the next point update of iOS 13 after the 2020 SE release.

Simply hold your finger on the notification longer than 1 second and quick reply will appear.
You don’t need to swipe left or right, unless you want to delete a notification.

Thanks. I found that out and didn’t know they had fixed that. Haha

When the SE first came out you couldn’t do that. Thankful they fixed it.
