Just bought Apple TV 2 - Airplaying?

Hey everyone,

Feel really stupid here. Trying to AirPlay from my 4S from my videos to the ATV 2 and I'm not seeing the airplay sign. Can someone show me exactly what you do, so I can see where I'm going wrong. Thanks.

On the AppleTV - go to Settings>> AirPlay and make sure it's ON...

Then any iOS device capable of AirPlay that is on the same local area network should be able to see it as an output device... on your iPhone, double tap the home button, swipe left to right twice... you should see the volume control, and the AirPlay button on the right side of the bottom of the display... tap the AirPlay button and go from there. Or from any video playing on the iPhone media player, tap the Airplay icon on the play/pause/volume bar... go on from there...

I'm not seeing an airplay icon. It could be something to do with the wifi network I'm on. I'm not on my home network. I will try it when I'm home on Friday and report back here at this thread.

The AppleTV & your iPhone have to be on the same local network...

They are, that's why I think it's something to do with the local network.
