I was wondering when the US government would jump on the bandwagon.

Politicians know nothing of what’s best for tech. What they do know is BIG lobbyist money is best, next best is popular soundbites in media.

They may possibly and eventually get something into a passed bill but chances are good Apple will be two steps ahead. Apple, Google, Amazon etc didn’t get where they were without building skill at getting around government myopia. One thing working for the IPhone side is nearly every politician uses an iPhone. Changing what they use is always more politically difficult…for some strange reason .
