Hi my iphone 4s (ios 7.0.4) will not factory restore - i am using dfu / recovery mode but itunes will not allow the phone to restore or update. It gets the error 'an error has occurred (2003)'. I have also tried resetting my hosts and the shift update thing. Is there any way i can restore the phone to factory settings and clear everything from it. I want to sell my iphone 4s but cannot because it will not delete anything etc.

plz help :(

You can't "Erase All Content And Settings" with a jailbreak. You will need to put it in DFU mode and restore via iTunes. Afterwards, you will have no choice but to be updated to the current OS. That's iOS 9.1 for now. There's no jailbreak available.

Are you using official apple 30 pin cable?
Is it damages? Are you using the ports directly on your computer?
