Dear All,

Have my iPad here on 5.1.1. I know this is old, but I have worked on the belief that I shouldn't upgrade something if it's not broken. Sadly more and more apps require ios 7 now so time come to make the move.

I have jail broken it and I really would prefer to preserve my apps. What is the easiest and simplest way to upgrade?

Many thanks for your time in reading this

You can't upgrade and keep your jailbreak.
Sorry for the bad news

Adding to what others have said, the next jailbreak doesn't ensure you'll get your old jailbroken apps. As iOS has added more features, some developers have abandoned their projects

For example, biteSMS, blutrol, lockinfo, sbsettings?

I really look back on the ios5 jailbreak as the golden days of jailbreaks.

Every iOS device was jailbroken, crazy good tweaks, insane customization, incredible (for the times) devices?

I want my iPhone 4 size and weight, with iPhone 6 power, on iOS 8, jailbroken.
