Like the title said, I jailbroke my iPhone 3GS. I installed the HTC time & weather widget, and some other cool stuff. It was fun, and a cool learning experience, but there is no-freaking-way that I would jailbreak my 5. Opens you up to the possibility of too many problems, viruses, malware, etc. And as neat as it was to do it, in the end it's also pretty pointless. And that brings me to my final point: I really, really want to get and love the Galaxy Note 2 I had for 3 days before dumping it & coming back to iPhone. But Google Play is so crappy, and the phone needs so many tweaks and stuff before becoming usable. Lets not forget Androids lack of security & OS update will it come nightmare. IMO, Apple may very well be a "walled garden", but it's a heck of a lot better than the alternative.

^ that's a true story.

I wouldn't say jailbreaking is pointless. Just nc settings or sbsettings is enough of a reason to jailbreak IMO

Everyone has their own opinions on jail breaking. My first JB's on the 3GS I installed everything. Themes, tweaks, you name it. Here I am 4 generations later and I am down too only a handful of enhancement tweaks. I now jailbreak for function vs form.
