I keep trying to jailbreak my verizon 4.2.8 iphone. I tried everything, tinyumbrella settings taken off, deleted. Rebuilt ipsw. I can restore the phone with apples official firmware, but I can't with the rebuilt. I keep getting error 3194. I deleted hosts files, added host files, ran itunes as admin. Nothing works. What else can I do? I am using windows 7 to do this.

Why are you trying to use rebuilt firmware?
Jailbreakme.com (supposedly) works with the vzw 4.2.8, and redsn0w definitely does.

I tried jbme and it said it wouldn't work with my device. I tried sn0wbreeze because that usually works for me on the old iphone running on 4.2.8. I just tried redsn0w via your suggestion and it finally works!! Thanks for your help.
