Jailbreaking Help Urgent

Ok currently in the process of jailbreaking it do I check the box for *Add Cydia* and *Add Installer* ?

Remember I'm only looking to add the cool features (themes, landscape typing mode etc. etc) NOT planning on switching carrier.

Id just add cydia because installer doesn't have as many features. And cydia had pretty much everything u can get with installer plus more. 

I have just jail broken my 3g iphone. all the apps look fine but the phone dialer has now frozen and wont let me dial. the call button is green and the dialer returns to the main screen automaticaly after a few seconds.
Any quick fixes or do i just use the iphone restore and start again ?

I have seen lots of posts on the web with the same issue but have not found a fix or an answer

i just JB my 3g and now i have a ? it did not give me a choice to only install cydia so it installed installer and cydia is this norm or did i f it up

You should be fine. Both Cydia and Installer showed up when I JB mine and nothing was messed up, and hasn't messed up. When you JB it gives you both the icons of Cydia and Installer.
