Jailbreak/unlock Ipod 5th gen

I am new to imore and I have my first question for the experts out there.

I was wondering if its possible to jailbreak or unlock my ipod touch 5th gen?

If it is possible would you advise for or against me doing so?

Use this to see if it can be jailbroken. Unlocking is not necessary on an iPod.

As far as advising against it? No. I personally wouldn't own an iDevice if it couldn't be jailbroken. I went months using my iPhone 4 while my iPhone 4s sat in a box at home until it was able to be jailbroken. So many excellent tweaks that can be added to "liberate" the device. Just a personal opinion though.

You already got a link to check if your iPod can be Jailbroken. If you want to know what is great about Jailbreak go to the Jailbreak forums and look at all the great stuff that can be done with the devices.
