jailbreak iphone 3g

I have searched alot on here but just can't seem to get a straight answer.
I have jailbroken my 3g before, but at the mo it is not.
I have updated to 3.0.1 and the update to o2 4.4 today.
To jailbreak is it ok to use redsn0w 0.7.2 or better to use redsn0w 0.8?
What is the difference between 0.7.2 and 0.8?

I tried .72 and it got stuck at reboot defienetly us .8

Put your iPhone back to normal mode and restart your computer. Run redsn0w after that to rejailbreak it again.
