My parents tried to update a couple of apps probably around the time you posted, and they couldnt connect either. had my dad calling me on the phone asking me all sorts of questions lol. I also tried to dwld an app and it failed, but within a few mins i went right back in and it dwld fine. I haven't heard back from my dad again, so i guess what i told him to do worked, or maybe by that time it was working again. idk.
I had 13 updates waiting that just disappeared. I logged out and back into the store and it did not make a difference. I really hope Itunes did not update the apps on its own. There were some bad updates that I did not want to do.
There is definitely a problem going on. Here is a screenshot of my iPad Mini showing "all apps are up to date". Yet, at the bottom of the screen is shows that there are 2 updates available. Only way around this for me was to go into my purchased apps section, and see which app had the "update" next to it and click on it. That updated the 2 apps and removed the #2 symbol from the bottom. I should not have to update my apps this way. Clearly there is a problem for some of us....
Rose that's something I've never seen happen !! Did you get the "2" update resolved btw?
Idk what it is but it just seems the App Store has been wonky on and off for a while now. Luckily I'm not always effected & yesterday was just weird. My phone at that time said cannot connect while my iPad was saying my time & date were wrong, which it wasn't. I also still had wifi because I was able to get online etc.
I just hope these little glitches get ironed out soon.
