itunes not working with jb iphone

so i have a jb iphone and when plugged into itunes it wont let me do anything with it. what happened and how do i fix it?

i put cydia on it and just messed around with the appeareanceand when i went to plug it into itunes it still recognized as the my phone but it would not let me do anything with it

Okay, dumb question, but are you running the most recent version of iTunes?
