iTunes not importing first song on every cd

I

iMore Question

I'm using a Windows machine (Window 7 Home Premium) with latest version of iTunes.

Trying to import a heap of new CDs but iTunes is not importing the first track of every single album.

Tried the usual switching off and back on, re-importing whole cd, re-importing single track, importing using a different coding, but it just hangs on the first track every time. Diagnostics say that my reader is functioning properly. Tracks play on other software.

All the CDs are are new and hence clean.

Getting no error messages.

Thoughts?

"Curiously enough, switching off error correction has solved the problem. What a drama!"

Welcome to iMore and thanks for the question :)

This is the first time have heard about this, quite strange. Obviously there is nothing wrong with your CDs since the problem is reoccurring on all of them. What is the name of the first track on all the CDs? It it the same file format as the rest?

Have you tried importing using a different file format?

What you could also do, (long winded). Open the CD in your file explorer 'My Computer' so you can see all the tracks there and just simply 'Control A' and then drag them all into iTunes. You may have to rename them all but it will solve the problem :)

Hope this helps.
