The definition of "dud" aside, the question is whether they will sell 1M by end of Sept (which I guess is their financial Q4, but the calendar Q3.)

The analyst were nearly all off the mark for forecasts on the launch of the iPhone.

I'd like to see AT&T's activation numbers as well.

Although I guess if they launch in Europe on Sept 27, they can have a mad rush to push them over 1M...

One industry analyst is forecasting 4.5 million units sold this year. I don't think there is any doubt that the iPhone has exceeded even Apple's expectations for sales.

I don't put too much faith in those industry experts, who were wildly off on the iPhone launch numbers.

I guess we will see when Apple posts their number and AT&T does thise activation numbers.
