It's finally time for Apple to kill the Lightning port on the iPhone

With the company even bailing on USB-A with the Apple Watch, it's time to go USB-C on all of the things.

Other than having over a dozen variations of lightning cables, I'm not really bothered by this!

I knew exactly what I was getting when I purchased all of the iPhones I’ve owned over the years and the cable it came with was more than sufficient. If I needed a different cable, I bought it. If I needed to use an adapter or a dock, I used it.

With that being said, if Apple continues with the lightning port, fine and if they change it to USB-C then that too is fine. Not having a USB-C port on my iPhone is not impeding my usage whatsoever and “I believe” it’s not impeding the usage of many other iPhone users.

Other than faster Data transfers and Pro Camera hook ups I don’t see any day to day usage for an input port change

And I actually like the Lightening cable’s ability to connect vise-versa

I remember when the hullabaloo when Apple switched from the 30 pin charger to the lightning connector! People were so upset. It's hard to believe that was back in 2012!!!
