So I have a mid-2012 Macbook Pro 13" and was trying to set up my epson printer (XP-420) and am having issues printing. Each time I try to print, I get the spinning beachball. I tried to do it via wifi as well as via usb and nothing. Software won't install/ only thing it does is show the beachball and I have to close everything. I upgraded the ram in my macbook to 8gb and have the i7 chip, so it should have no issues. it only does this with my epson printer, the printer at my parents works fine via usb. Any suggestions? I went on the epson site and nothing worked.
