• After more than 15 years covering everything Apple, it’s with a heavy heart we announce that we will no longer be publishing new content on iMore and the iMore forums will be closing as of November 1st, 2024.

Is this necessary? Apple indirectly forcing developers to buy new MAC ?

iMore Question

I'm working as an IOS developer, every year Apple updating Xcode application with more features which will force you to extend memory?
I know , I'll get some biased reply.

Welcome to iMore.

Apple is not forcing you to do anything. That's like saying they should never update OS X or iOS. And this is not a biased reply. If we were talking about a PC my response would be exactly the same. Apple needs to update it's software to keep up. You need to adapt to the change. I have to as a web designer. I can't use old technology or I will get left behind. But in no way are any of us being forced to do anything.
