Is there such thing as geotagging from photos i just received through whatsapp?

If someone sent me photo via whatsapp (photos received from whatsapp are being saved automatically into my camera roll) would the location of the photo i received appear in my camera roll? Or only location of photos I personally take are the ones that will appear in my camera roll collection? (hope i make sense here ) thanks

You'd have look at a file sent from whatsapp to see if location is in its EXIF data or not.

Thank you for your reply. But im still a little confused. How is it possible that even the location of a photo that I just received via whatsapp can also be shown in my camera roll? I wasn't the one who personally took the photos in that location. Isn't it supposed to be just the location from my personal shots and not from photos I just received from 3rd party apps?
-Is it even possible for this thing to happen? or I am not making sense now? eee ;p

Since photos receive from apps (whatsapp) are being saved directly to my camera roll how am i able to differentiate the ones I personally take and those i did not? If i allowed my location tag will it help? in this case only those shots i personally take will appear in my camera roll with the location tagged on it. and other photos that only has date and time on it are those that were received via an app (whatsapp)? Please can anyone verify?
