Is there a way to use a song on my iPhone6 as a ringtone?

I would like to use part of a song that is in my iTunes library as a ringtone on my iPhone 6. I read the instructions that were posted back in 2014 and tried that but it won't work on iPhone6. There MUST be a way to do this!

Apple made it a huge pain on purpose, so that it's almost more economical to just buy a ringtone than go through all that trouble making one. This is one area where Android excels over Apple.
