Is there a way to group contacts for an email?

Hope it is okay to ask this here but is there a way to group contacts for an email? Rather than having to select each contact individual to email, I'd like to be able to group a number of them under a specific name or category so all I have to do is click on that name or category and the email will go to all who are in it? Is this possible? We are using an Iphone 6s with the latest update installed.

I created contact groups with this app. It works for messages and email.

Once you create a group, it should show in contacts > Tap groups in the upper left. It will show like these.

Then on email or text, address it to the group name. If a contact shows more than once, it's because they have one or more numbers and email addresses in their contact card.
