Is there a way to change the iPhone Keyboard...?

Many of us who came over from Android had the option of using various software keyboards like Swype, Swiftkey & Smart Keyboard Pro, to name a few. I know that Apple does not allow for us to install 3rd party keyboards, and I'm okay with it to this point, however, is there a way to "change" the current iPhone keyboard to better suit one's needs without having to Jailbreak it? For example, can we change the color or add a theme to it at will will a theming app of some sort? Is this possible?

The darker keyboard option coming in 7.1 is the only one that I can think of for now:

There are some text editing apps that have specialized keyboards in them, but there is no way to change the system keyboard.
