Is there a way to cease notifications while using certain apps?

I would like that no notification appear when I am using certain apps, such as TV etc. For instance if I am watching a film I do not want to see/hear notifications from facebook, twitter etc

Not that I’m aware of. With that being said, the Slack app has an Do Not Disturb feature built in that’s I use quite frequently, especially when I’m doing demos. Unless your app have something similar, I’m not sure what you’re asking can be done at this time.

Just go into settings and turn notifications off for those that annoy you the most while in an app. I always keep notifications for Facebook and Twitter off. They're just too much.

I do exactly the same thing.
