Is there a way to capture an image from a video on ios 9?

On the previous os you could simply tap the image to get rid of the scroll bar at the top/bottom of the video but that no longer works on ios 9. Is there another way? I've tried various things and nothing works without taking a screen shot and then cropping the scroll bar out.

While viewing the video, select the image from the scroll bar at the bottom of the screen (if using an iPhone). This will cause the video to pause. Simply tap on the screen to hide the scroll bar so that you can capture the image.
