Is there a way to backup the iPad to a external hard drive?

My Windows 10 computer does not have enough space to back up the iPad.

Here is what I see when I choose to back up the iPad .

So is there a way to back the iPad to a external hard drive?

The computer had a 1tb SSD. A 2tb would cost too much monies.

Have you considered backing it up to iCloud instead?

No because iCloud does not back up every detail. Like a computer backup. I remember restoring a iPad from a iCloud backup. Will never do that again.

Discovered even if I choose iCloud backup. That also is greyed out.

The problem was in imazing. Imazing for some reason disables iTunes from backing up devices.

Here is the steps that were suggested from a Imazing web page.

Quit iTunes
Restart computer
Launch iMazing
Quit iMazing
Launch iTunes

I was able to change the backup location. Appreciate all the help.
