Is there a rain gauge that we can access via iPhone or iPad that also does not require Wi-Fi?

Like a previous question, I am looking for a rain gauge which can be located at our farm and we can access the results via ipone or iPad when we are away. We do not have access to wifi at our farm and use cards in our iPads.

Get yourself a decent Davis Vantage Pro weather station... Those can be set up so the sensor module wirelessly transmits to a console which can be connected via Ethernet to your home network, and it's readings can be uploaded so they can be viewed in realtime if you want...
