Mac Book Air flight simulator

Am looking to improve my knowledge of flying with in my job role
I have never flown before and was after some advice on the best flight simulator packages to down load or buy for the IMac air to help me lean the knowledge of flying and would be a help if they had tests
Also any add on equipment that would be useful

There are a lot of game type apps in the Mac AppStore... and a few that appear to be more professional pilot training apps... you might look at web sites related to pilot training for recommended apps for Mac.
