My mom needs a new phone. She currently has a iphone 7. She likes the home button. she thinks my iphone 11 is hard. Does she need to get to one with out home button or is the SE (2020) fine

My sister was In the exact same situation as your mom. She had a seven it really started to fail her. She doesn’t like a lot of fancy frills on her phone and she prefers the home button to Face ID. So I suggested that she get the SE and she is absolutely thrilled with it.

It is a very good upgrade.

For what it is, the iPhone SE (2nd generation) is an iPhone 11 in an iPhone 6/6S/7/8 form factor.

While you don’t get the bigger screen, bigger battery, multiple camera system and U1 chip (AirTags precision finding), it is still an extremely capable device on its own merits.

I upgraded my brothers 7 to an SE2020 and he loved the device. As others have said, it’s basically an iPhone 11 with a great forum factor.

My neighbors across the street both have the SE and they are also happy with the device. I have been asked several times to recommend a device below the 500 dollar mark with good specs and build quality and I always recommend the SE2020.
