Is the logic board of a 2009 MBP worth repairing?

I have a MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2.53GHz, Mid 2009) that the logic board is shot. I was told from a authorized reseller and service provider that it wasn't worth repairing and that they couldn't get the logic board for it anymore. Is there any truth to that statement? There is no warranty left on it. So I am wondering what would my options be? My macbook its in great shape still looks like new. This was the only issue we had with it. Thank You in advance for your help

Re: Urgent Help needed

"urgent help needed" is about the worst title you can make for a thread. It tells people nothing about your actual need.

That said, your best answer is google. Put the part you need into it and see how many places you can find the part. That will tell you how valid the claim is. It'll also be a lot faster to help with your "urgency."
