Is Jailbreaking the answer for me?

I apologize if this has been covered somewhere...but I've never jailbroken an iPhone (I've rooted tons of Android phones), so before I go down this road, I want to make sure I can accomplish what I want (I did a search and browsed through the results, but I didn't see anything) -

I have Sprint, and where I live/work/drive the most has AWFUL data speeds. I am looking to accomplish one of two things -

1. Force roaming to another network (preferably to one of the Sprint "Extended 3G" agreements, but even when I roam on Verizon 2G I get better data speeds)

2. Make it easier to force back to Sprint 3G when it inevitably kicks me down to Sprint 2G.

Can this be done via Jailbreak...or am I just dreaming?

I realize that too much roaming will likely result in Sprint kicking me off my contract...and I'm OK with that. I plan on ditching them in a few months anyhow, so a little early won't kill me...at this point, I just can't take the awful data coverage anymore, and I'm looking for a way to tide me over for a little while.

I have a 16GB 4S on Sprint.

Your thread is jibberish!!!
What you're talking about sounds far more advanced than a jailbreak tweak.
