Is it possible to save photos in folders on hard drive instead of saving in albums in Photos?

When I used a MBP with OSX 10.7, I preferred downloading and saving pictures on my hard drive in a Pictures folder with sub-folders. This is not working with my new iMac with the new Pictures program. I have OSX 10.10.3 on the iMac.

I don't know how you feel about it, but I didn't like iPhoto and so far I hate Photos.
