Is it possible to put a detailed view of the calendar/diary on the home screen?

For me that's the first and most important app to see when I switch on the mobile in the morning.
Up to now my only reason for not getting an iphone but an Android mobile instead.

Today and tomorrow calendar entries can be view on your lock screen inside notification center drop down.
