Is iMessage down for anyone else? (Verizon)

My iMessage stopped working today to the point where I needed to turn it off. I could receive iMessages, but couldn't send. And my messages would get stuck on the sending bar (they didn't fail or send as txts - which is why I had to shut off iMessage all together)

Has anyone else been experiencing this? As far as i know, it's happening both on WiFi and Verizon LTE.

I'm having the same problem here in Ohio. The family are also having issues. Had to turn off iMessage to get texts to go through.

Verizon has confirmed it's down everywhere. At least that's what they said. Working on fixing it now.

I had a SIM card problem with my new i5 a few days ago and I thought that might have been causing my iMessage issue - glad to see it was a server problem!!

Down all day on AT&T...back up now though. Pretty frustrating while trying to iMessage someone directions to my place and they weren't getting them. Oh well...back to the stone age art of regular texts.
