Is Apple throttling back the XS Max?

I’ve noticed a sudden slug-slow population time on some web-based apps. And it seems everything is just a little slower than it was even a week ago.

May be Apple...may be Verizon (in my case).

I have heard the rumors that Apple has been throttling back some of the older phones...obviously in an attempt to push owners to new phone purchases, but I didn’t think it would be on as recent a model as the “X”!

Thoughts?

My XS seems the same as usual in London on O2. I have to say it was never astonishingly fast !
Do you have a commonly used app that I might also have that is particularly slow ?

I checked with m son -- his 10s Max is fine -- no changes.

Have you done a force restart lately? Not turning it off/on.

Push/release the volume up button.
Push/release the volume down button.
Push and hold the power button until you see the apple logo.

Yep...I’ve done that more than once. Must of the issues are with websites that I’ve saved to my Home Screen taking forever to load, not so much genuine apps.

Have you changed your default browser from Safari to another browser? If yes, were the shortcuts created before the browser switch?

Also, have you installed the iOS 14.3 update of today?

No & no.

Is the update supposed to address anything like that? I read some were having issues with 14.2.
