Is anyone planning to replace their iPhone X battery at year’s end?

I'm in the upgrade program and the phone is too expensive to pass down to someone that will likely break it (daughter) so I'll probably send it back and get whatever is next. But my wife might get it because she's careful... so we'll see.

If this Fall’s upgrades aren’t significant to me I might consider keeping my two Xes longer and may replace the battery in them this time next year. Who knows.

I ran into this article earlier today and started a thread about it.

Apparently the iPhone 8 (and I presume the Plus), as well as the X have new power management that does a better job of preventing the phone from shutting down. Because of this, apparently our Xs will not throttle in the same way the older phones do; instead the phone, once the battery is weak, will only throttle when there isn't enough power to complete a task at full power.

Probably won’t get a new battery until I notice drastic decrease in life. Use a charger so often as is...
