Is a stand-alone magic keyboard 2 trackpad 2 better than Magic keyboard case for IPad Pro 2020 12.9

Planning what to buy with an IPad Pro 2020 12.9 to add keyboard and trackpad capability. Will mostly be used at home in place of my 2010 MacBook Air.

The answer depends on your likes, dislikes and needs. I have the 2020 12.9 inch iPad Pro, but I’m not buying the new Magic Keyboard. I do use it with my Trackpad 2 and a wireless keyboard, but I also don’t have a problem typing on the onscreen keyboard.

If you’re going to be indeed using the iPad as a MacBook replacement then the choice of which keyboard is better boils down to which one you prefer.

When I bought my 12.9 iPad Pro I also had the keyboard and trackpad. I bought the magic keyboard and wow! I think if you’ll be using it as a MacBook Air replacement, definitely get the magic keyboard.
