IPod Nano 7th gen or Touch 6th gen?

I

iMore Question

I previously had an iPhone 6 and loved the music quality. My headphones are Sennheiser HD 558.

I shifted away from apple to experiment, but i still want an ipod that sounds at least similar or better than my iPhone 6. So should I go for the touch 6g or nano 7g? Which sounds best and also how are both of them at driving my headphones? I do not want to buy an extra amp. (No sugesstions for the classics and older models please, since I don't have access to them in the market?)

Thanks in advance.

It doesn’t matter which device you connect your headphones to, the quality is same. If you want a device with speakers, go with the Touch, if you just wanna use headphones, go with the Nano, as the Nano does not have speakers.

iPod classics are available on eBay. I have two 128gb SSD classic 7th gen, and a 256gb SSD 5th gen. I also have a couple of 4th gen/photo color iPods that were 30gb hard drives, that I converted myself to 64gb SSD.

SSD drives are available, plus larger batteries. My 128gb models play for days with 2000mah batteries. Way easier to use than any iPhone, for playing mp3s.

They do not. The only iPod currently offered is the iPod Touch.

Thanks! That's what I thought, but it's good to have it verified! My sister wanted to get one for her husband for Christmas and I had to break it to her that they're no longer made. I'm now trying to convince her that the iPod Touch will be fine!

The iPod Touch is a much nicer device. It runs iOS so it has access to App Store and everything else that iOS offers.

That's what I thought, and they have a Bose speaker system to hook it up too! One more question, what generation is the most recent iPod Touch... I've doing some price shopping for her, and am also looking at cases, etc.

Thanks again for your help!
