iPhone6 keeps trying to download emails

The circle icon indicating my phone is continually trying to download emails......mail icon shows 8 emails.....nothing in mailbox. Yet the circle icon is still continually running.....draining my battery. It's like something is frozen in time!

Try turning the iPhone off and then back on and see if that helps

Try holding the home key and the power key together until you see the apple icon. This will reset the phone and should clear up the problem.
