iPhone X with EE sim card no service

Hello, iPhone X is unlocke but for some reason when I put EE sim it doesn't work. I got no service. How to fix it. I reset phone, put airplane mode etc.

Can I assume the EE SIM is activated with a wireless carrier?

It simply means the SIM card isn’t activated.
