I’ve been at the point where cost isn’t a factor for anything I deem useful. How do y’all feel about the pricepoint?

64GB is too small. That only leaves 256GB as the option. I have a feeling it will be at a $200 premium, so you can guess it will be $1199 for that...in Canada that will be $1500 or more. Very expensive, especially if battery life is as weak as it seems.

It’s only $50 more than what I paid for my 256GB 7 Plus...I don’t think that huge for those of us that have already been purchasing the most expensive model.

I could only catch bits and pieces of the specs but I feel like if I'm going to upgrade then I'm gonna want the top of line model. It's hella expensive but if your buying a smartphone it's because you want it not because you need it and I want that X.

The 256 is only €200 more than my current 7Plus 256.

I’m not sure, but I think I’ll get it.

Funny to see how price creep works..."it's only 200 euro more than my current phone". Next year, "it's only 100 euro more than my last year's phone". After that "it's only 200 euro more than my last year's phone", and before you know it you're paying double.

I'm not upgrading until next year. But if I were upgrading this time, I'd get the 8 Plus. I just didn't see anything that justifies paying $200 more for. I would, however, pay an extra $25 for the animoji.

Most people are on a payment plan so I don't think the price will really matter to them. Although 64GBs for a $999 phone that takes photos and videos in 4K is almost comical. . Why not just make it 128 & 256GBs for iPhone X.

Think I'll just stick with the 8.

I get where you're coming from, but price is nothing I look at when it comes to certain things, like my smartphone. If I want it, I'm getting it. I haven't been wowed by a phone I. Almost a decade because I pretty much do the same things with them all & don't usually care about the new features. If it's faster, with more storage then I'm usually down. Price is just a technicality.

Which is exactly what they want. I'm not trying to say anything personally offensive, just that that way of thinking plays right into billion dollar corporations hands. When does it end?

I'm hoping the next gen iPhone takes the form factor of the X. I'm concerned that $999 is the new norm, though. I can afford the phone, but it makes me uncomfortable to spend that much money.

I too wish the X came in 128 and 256 instead of 64/256. Makes the choice for a 64GB nearly impossible. So really no choice, but to get the 256GB, and pay extra. Even though I live in Oregon, but working in Washington, my billing address is now WA so I am also stuck with nearly 10% tax on top of that (OR = Tax Free).. so that sucks. By the time I am done that's $1400 for a phone (+ Case / Tax). That's worth thinking about... now not sure now.

All in all this years products are at least €10 cheaper in the Dutch Apple Stores. The series 3 without Cellular is even €70 cheaper.

The new pricing for the iPhone X will be hard to bite through, but I don’t think it’s excessively overpriced.
