I’m doing my very best to stay professional and be of help where possible.

I really hope the next purchase of OP will be one without issues and worry.

Is this a speck of dust or is the ambient light sensor suppose to be like that?

Dude, seriously? How stubborn are you??
Unless you’re using a professional camera, zoom in on the spots you think have dust in it and have a cleaned screen we can tell you what’s wrong!

In the meantime I have been able to take fingerprints of all your 10 fingers, because you refuse to clean your screen.

It’s only logical to clean a screen and then take a photo of it before posting to the entire world to see.

Dust in the lens.......

All we are is dust in the lens.......

(musical interlude over now)

Seriously, as a photographer, dust is no joke. Which is why I pay big bucks to have my gear cleaned, so I know the frustration.

Is that dust int he image above? Sorry, I can't tell.

I want to know if the thing in the ambient light sensor is oft of the sensor or dust ?

Just asking, but did you post your reply in my quote? Strange.

Anywho, is that dust? I have no idea and can make no formal ideas based on that photo.

If you think it is, feel free to start the process with Apple. If not, noting more to see here.

Moving on.

Yes, I zoomed in as far as I could. It looks like dust on the outside of the glass to me. Just like all of the other dust on the rest of the screen in that photo. Spray a little water on a clean, lint free cloth (like a lens cloth) and use it to carefully clean the display, and then use a similar dry cloth to dry. See https://support.apple.com/en-us/ht207123 for Apple's instructions for how to clean an iPhone display.
