iphone will not accept my new password

I had to change my password when I was on my desktop. Now my phone is prompting for a password in order to enter my email. The only prompts for me to choose from when it reads: Password Incorrect is: Cancel or OK. So I am unable to check my email via my phone (only on my desktop).
Suggestions? Thank you

Delete the email account, reboot the phone, and then re-configure the email account.
