Hey I have a question. My friend just passed away. And he has a iPhone 10s. And his mom want to save the picture on his phone. The problem is that his phone is locked. Like to get in the phone. So is there a way I can go with his iPhone to a Apple store(when they finally open) and get them to remove the passcode if I bring his death certificate or if I am the account holder. Bring my id and ask them to unlock his phone. And see if I can print his picture for his mom. Thanks.

I think that it will have to be a family member that will have to do this. I don’t think they will allow a proxy, maybe with notarised permission. I did this when my wife died, some time ago, and it was not a process for the fainthearted. Took about three months.
Try it, at least you will find the parameters.

As you are the account holder, maybe, you can only try.
I had to do all this by email to Apple’s UK headquarters in Dublin (?) it was extremely tiresome, they wanted me to send an original document to them. As this is unique and irreplaceable I did not do so,causing another flurry of activity, then they asked me to photograph the original document, the trouble with that is the seal is embossed, not coloured, difficult to photograph as it is white on white.
Just a sample of the problems.
However if you persevere I am sure you will get there. I do not think that your Apple store will be any use to you. I think your national headquarters would be more useful to you, and you can make a start straight away.
