iPhone launch campout

As an 18th birthday present my parents are sponsoring me a "camping trip" for the iPhone 8 and 8 plus. I have preordered the phone the past 4-5 years for my birthday and had it shipped to my grandmas house because I was at school but I have never actually waited in line for an iPhone. I would love some tips and tricks from people that have actually done this before. What supplies should I bring? What are the chances of me getting the phone I want, a 256gb 8 plus white? I'm in the south suburbs of Chicago and I have T-Mobile on an iPhone 7 plus 32gb if it makes any difference. Any and all advice is appreciated.
