iPhone does not play online videos but iPad does, how come?

Hello

I have seen that I can play an episode of 'The Big Bang Theory' on my iPad
when I click the link from Facebook app.

But when I click the same link from my iPhone I see a
'adobe 9 required' message.

How come?

Could someone pls care to explain?

I'm sorry if it's a repeated question, I searched but haven't seen
anything online yet.
